We have two paid Energy Advisor posts available, for 8 hours per week, or a single post for 16 hours per week.
Greensand Community Energy, working with Buzz Community Energy and River Ivel Community Energy, are looking to develop our successful Energy Champion scheme by appointing two Energy Advisors to offer regular energy advice sessions and to support our volunteers attending local events and conducting home visits across Bedfordshire.
As an Energy Advisor, you will already have the NEA Level 3 qualification in Energy Awareness, or be undertaking the qualification at time of application. You will be confident in delivering energy and renewables advice face to face in community settings and good at listening to determine client needs.
You will need your own transport to access venues across Central Bedfordshire, and your own laptop or tablet to keep records and report outcomes. Hours are flexible around regular weekday energy advice sessions, but some weekend and evening availability is helpful. You will be self-employed and you will need to have a DBS check on appointment. The 2 roles are for 1st September 2026 to 31st March 2027 initially, with potential to continue to a longer term contract.
Interested? Email susan.clinch@greensandenergy.org for an application pack, or with any questions about the role. The application deadline is 5pm on Friday 17th July 2026.We actively encourage people of all backgrounds, ages, races, religions, belief systems, sexual orientations and gender identities to apply for these roles.
